Meet the Holmusk team at the 2024 ASCP Annual Meeting, May 28 - May 31, 2024, in Miami Beach, Florida!
The American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology (ASCP) works to advance the science, education and practice of clinical psychopharmacology. The ASCP Annual Meeting brings together over 1200 academic and industry investigators, research pharmacists, clinicians and representatives from regulatory agencies to discuss newer treatments and facilitate collaborations.
Holmusk will be presenting a workshop entitled Bridging the Research to Practice Gaps on Thursday, May 30, from 4:15pm - 6:15pm in Salon 1. The workshop aims to present how leveraging NLP-enriched, real-world data can address key gaps in behavioral health research and treatment — the information gap (identification, extraction, compilation of patient-level information) as well as the knowledge gap (developing evidence using these data). Presenters will discuss and demonstrate how a large, nationally representative, multimillion patient EHR database — NeuroBlu — has been compiled across multiple healthcare providers and systems to address these gaps. During the workshop, attendees will have the ability to view NeuroBlu and collaboratively select a patient sample using a variety of features, types of treatment, outcomes measures, observation periods, and other variables to answer clinical questions.
Holmusk will also be presenting a poster entitled The Clinical Global Impression of Severity (CGI-S): Bridging the Research Practice Gap on Thursday, May 30, Poster Session II with Lunch, from 12:30pm - 2:15pm, in Salon 4. This poster examines whether the mandated routine use and electronic health record (EHR) recording of the Clinical Global Impression of Severity (CGI-S)—a common outcome metric in randomized controlled trials—might be sufficient to reliably inform administrative or program level decisions in a large representative sample of patients with depression.
